Limited Warranty

This warranty applies to all garage door and opener services performed by 5 Star Garage Door, as itemized on the original invoice.

Coverage

• Labor / Workmanship — Installation or repair workmanship listed on the invoice. Coverage: 30 days from the completion date.
• Replacement Parts Supplied by 5 Star — Defects in new parts/components furnished by 5 Star Garage Door. Coverage: 1 year from the completion date (unless a different term is stated on the invoice).

Important: The labor warranty expires at 30 days; after that, this warranty covers defective invoiced parts only.

Validity Requirements

• Work must be performed exclusively by a 5 Star Garage Door technician.
• Any balances due to 5 Star Garage Door must be paid in full.
• The system cannot be modified or adjusted by anyone other than 5 Star Garage Door.
• The warranty is non-transferable and ends if the original customer sells or relinquishes the property or equipment.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Misaligned or obstructed safety eyes, depleted batteries, light bulbs, or logic boards damaged by power surges.
• Damage caused by fires, floods, earthquakes, windstorms, acts of God, power surges, vehicles striking the door, hanging or climbing on panels, or objects left in the door’s path.
• Wear or failure of parts not supplied/replaced by 5 Star Garage Door, or damage those older parts cause to new components.
• Consequential or incidental damages (injury, property damage, business interruption, etc.).
• Abuse, misuse, or operation outside normal parameters.
• Adjustments, repairs, or modifications performed by anyone other than a 5 Star Garage Door technician.
• Any work requested outside the original scope unless invoiced as an additional service.

How to Report a Warranty Issue

1. Contact us immediately at (203) 693-9047 or contact@5stargaragedoorct.com.
2. Provide your invoice number, service address, and a brief description (photos/videos help).
3. A 5 Star Garage Door representative will schedule an inspection. If the issue falls outside the warranty, you’ll receive a quote before work begins.

Only 5 Star Garage Door technicians are authorized to diagnose or repair equipment under this warranty. If any other person tampers with the system, or if the door/opener is abused or improperly used, the warranty is void.

Additional Notes

• This warranty supersedes all other warranties, expressed or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by Connecticut law.
• Keep this document and your invoice for your records; you may be asked to produce them for service calls.
